The controlled ultrasonic energy used in the LensComfort Ultrasonic Cleaning, Disinfecting & Storage Unit has been engineered to optimally perform in the volume of solution you place in the Units’ tank. Ultrasound has been proven scientifically to break down the walls of bacteria, emulsify bio-film and cause cellular damage in fungi. This kills the microbes that can cause infections resulting in visual complications. Ultrasound when combined with a solution that has an antimicrobial agent, such as the one used in the LensComfort Unit, will kill all bacteria and fungi specified by the FDA when Best Health received its approval to safely market our products to consumers. Can I use other solutions?

The LensComfort MultiPurpose Solution is a pH-balanced, sterile, liquid solution that does not contain any harsh chemicals, preservatives, or enzymes. It is specifically designed to work with the LensComfort Ultrasonic Cleaning, Disinfecting & Storage Unit to clean in 15 minutes and simultaneously provide disinfection.

The effectiveness of other solution products with the LensComfort Ultrasonic Cleaning, Disinfecting & Storage Unit has not been demonstrated or clinically tested. Using any product other than LensComfort MultiPurpose Solution in the Unit may affect the device performance and can void the warranty.

Can I reuse the solution if I store my lenses overnight?

No – never. If you store your lenses overnight in the LensComfort Ultrasonic Cleaning, Disinfecting & Storage Unit. Cycle the Unit while you are getting ready for your day and thoroughly rinse the lenses in LensComfort MultiPurpose Solution before you apply them. Always discard the solution left in the Unit’s tank after applying your lenses no matter what time of day or night.

How do I use the Storage Unit and LensComfort MultiPurpose Solution?

You can either use the measured pouring cup provided with the LensComfort Ultrasonic Cleaning, Disinfecting & Storage Unit or fill the tank to the ring line marked on its’ side with LensComfort MultiPurpose Solution. Once the tank has the appropriate amount of solution, remove your lenses and place them in the baskets marked “L” or “R”. Close the baskets and place the cap into the tank turning clockwise to seal the Unit. Plug the Unit into a wall socket either at night or while you are getting ready for the day each morning to start the cycle. Once the cycle has been completed (approximately 15 minutes) the Unit will flash for a period of time indicating that the lenses are ready to wear. Disconnect the LensComfort Ultrasonic Cleaning, Disinfecting & Storage Unit. Pour out the contaminated solutions and let air dry. Do not reseal the cap on the Unit.

What happens if there is residue on my cap or it in from continual use? What causes this, and is it normal?

The action of ultrasound kills bacteria and fungi as well as other organisms. The residue from their fracture and that of emulsified proteins can become dried on the lens cap interior ring. This discoloration is natural and may be cleaned with a cue tip. There is no risk that this residue will cause infections as the cap is exposed to the disinfectant every time the Storage Unit is activated Your contact lenses will come out crystal clear, clean and disinfected after every use. To clean any build-up of discolored solution residue, moisten a soft cloth or cotton swab with LensComfort MultiPurpose Solution and gently wipe the area to remove it. My Unit does not start when I plug it in. What should I do? If the panel light does not come on immediately, check the cord to be sure that it is firmly plugged into both the wall and the back of the Unit. The correct sequence in using the Unit is:

• Plug Transformer into the wall plug.

• Plug transformer cord into back of unit.

• If the light does not come on after two or three attempts, following the above sequence, please call Best Health Customer Service at 1-800-732-7736).

How long should the LensComfort Unit run?

The System was designed for one complete cleaning and disinfection cycle to run approximately15 minutes. And then automatically shut off. A green flashing light on the top of the housing will flash until the Unit is unplugged.

My lenses don't seem to be getting clean. What should I do?

Make sure that you are filling the tank with LensComfort Solution to the line protruding on the inside of the tank. Make sure that you are using fresh LensComfort Solution each time you use the Unit.

If your lenses still are not being cleaned sufficiently, you may be a heavy depositor and may need to run the lenses in the Unit twice.

Can I use my Unit overseas?

Yes you can. If you are traveling overseas don't rely on standard power converter, only use the LensComfort 15-volt converter. It can be ordered by calling Best Health at 1-800-732-7736.

How does the LensComfort Warranty work?

The Unit comes with a limited warranty against faulty materials and workmanship. This warranty does not include damage to the product resulting from accident, misuse or operation. The LensComfort warranty will be extended for life provided that you:
